Tier Three Programming - Renewal

Leadership seminar is a complimentary program to our monthly Leadership Team Meetings designed to bridge the "chasm between leaders and managers. A good manager does things right. A leader does the right things" (Bennis & Goldsmith). While both management and leadership topics will be addressed, the underlying goal of this program is create a dedicated space for administrators to discuss "the gradual and sustained improvement of teaching in all classrooms by amplifying positive deviance throughout the school, closing the knowing-doing gap, appealing to emotion as well as intellect, and including external research and expertise when appropriate. Such activity and learning is ultimately based in and stimulated by a high-performance culture, which principals and teacher leaders are responsible for crating" (Sparks).
