The Spotswood Public School District is dedicated to excellence in education by inspiring and challenging our students to achieve their full potential while becoming productive citizens of the global community. Energetic and imaginative professionals will thrive in our District if they demonstrate the ability to effectively implement research-based pedagogical skills consistent with effective teaching. The District demonstrates its commitment of support for beginning teachers and teachers new to Spotswood by offering a comprehensive four-year induction program consisting of four components -- mentoring, professional development workshops, peer observation, and formal/informal evaluation. Ongoing professional development opportunities are offered to all staff through the PD Academy, teacher inservice programming, Professional Learning Cohorts, and structured independent or departmental initiatives.
