Party with the Principal at Schoenly!

Schoenly School Principal, Kate Gordon, welcomed students and families to the school on Thursday, August 13, with the annual Party with the Principal, a family-friendly event designed to build connections before the new school year begins.

The event brought together returning students, new students, siblings and their families for games and dancing giving children an opportunity to meet their classmates and become more comfortable with Mrs. Gordon and the school.

Mrs. Gordon said that creating strong family connections is important and that the event helps make Schoenly feel like a safe, welcoming place where students can learn, grow and build friendships. She also noted that meeting families before the first day helps ease students' nerves, in addition to her own!
