Welcome to Middle School

Incoming 6th graders took their first step in their middle school careers as they participated in 6th grade orientation on Thursday, August 20th. During this event, students got the chance to tour Memorial Middle School, review their schedule for the first time, practice and set up their lockers, and meet staff members to help better acclimate themselves to the building. This year's orientation was a special event because students were accompanied by their parents/guardians for the first time so that a better connection can be made with families and our school. A presentation given by Mr. Cugini and Dr. DiVincenzo was provided so that information of daily processes can be discussed to ensure a smooth transition to middle school. This opportunity allowed for great conversations to take place and ensured that any questions that were had could be answered directly be Memorial Staff. Step one for our young colts starting off was a huge success and we cannot wait to see what the future holds!
