Second Grade Learns About Grass and Weeds

Mrs. Astalos’ 2nd Grade class learned about growing Grass (Rye) and pesky weeds that interfere with its growing process. They learned that weeds grow where we really don't want them to grow.  The students easily identified the pesky weeds (Alfalfa), and learned that weeds grow super fast, even after cutting/mowing lawns. They had fun observing this phenomena over the course of 2 weeks.
