Coach Jaclyn Cassidy has been selected as the 2026 Most Positive Coach in New Jersey by the Positive Athlete program.

Last night the Board of Education recognized and celebrated this years Educators and Educational Services Professionals of the year. These outstanding staff members are all incredibly deserving of this honor and represent the very best of Spotswood every day.

SHS Senior Anthony Youssef has been hard at work in Gary Hull’s Honors Special Topics in Computer Science class. Anthony’s project this year involves creating an AI-powered navigation assistant device for the visually impaired.

Mrs. Astalos’ 2nd Grade class learned about growing Grass (Rye) and pesky weeds that interfere with its growing process.

Students in Mrs. Girone’s Engineering Applications class had a tasty lesson building solar cookers to kick off their unit on Alternative Energy.

To end Teacher Appreciation Week, Mrs. Ortizio’s students traveled through the school with a hospitality cart to offer their teachers a special treat.

Mr. Bacchetti’s 8th grade history classes conducted research about the family lineage of the gods and goddesses of Greek mythology.

Mrs. Miller and Ms. Wren’s 8th grade ELA students participated in a silent discussion about the big ideas found in Tuesdays With Morrie.

Students in Ms. Collins’ Ceramics & Sculpture II class, made art that is gorgeous in both form and function. Students created ceramic tea sets, and the unit concluded with an in-class tea party designed to assess whether the sets were as functional as they were beautiful.

Congratulations to Mrs. Shats’ and Mrs. Luthra’s classes for having the most Pony Pom Poms for the month of March! 

Students in Mrs. Siwiak’s class prepared for their first Social Studies Regions Assessment by working in teams to create Google Slides presentations reviewing the resources and landforms of the United States.

Honors Science Research Students visited Appleby to lead hands-on science presentations and learning activities for third grade students.

Senior Brianna DelAversano was invited to speak at the Robert Wood Johnson Safety Ambassador Recognition Luncheon, where Safety Ambassadors from across the state gathered to celebrate the program’s impact.

Mrs. Glassen’s Honors Science Research students visited SiRa Dentistry for an interactive learning experience focused on modern dentistry and oral health.
