Buildings and Grounds

The Buildings and Grounds Department is responsible for maintaining safe, clean, and well-functioning facilities across the Spotswood School District. The department oversees the care and operation of all district buildings and grounds, ensuring that schools provide a secure and welcoming environment for students, staff, and the community.

This work includes routine maintenance, repairs, custodial services, and groundskeeping, as well as long-term planning for facility improvements and capital projects. The department works to ensure that all systems, including heating, cooling, lighting, and safety infrastructure, are operating effectively and efficiently.

A strong focus is placed on preventative maintenance and timely response to facility needs to minimize disruptions to teaching and learning. The team also supports school events and community use of facilities, helping to ensure that spaces are prepared, accessible, and well-maintained.
