Schoenly Elementary School (PK-1)

Our youngest learners focus on foundational skills in literacy and mathematics through play-based and hands-on learning experiences. Classroom instruction emphasizes social-emotional development, building independence, and fostering a love of learning. Students who need additional support in core skills receive targeted intervention to help them build strong foundations.

Appleby Elementary School (2-5)

Students build on foundational skills and develop greater independence as learners. Instruction becomes more rigorous and students engage in deeper exploration of content areas while continuing to receive support in core academic skills. Middle School Programs

Memorial Middle School (6-8)

Memorial Middle School provides a bridge between elementary and high school, offering more specialized instruction while maintaining the supportive structure students need during early adolescence. Students have opportunities to explore interests through exploratory courses and electives while building the skills and habits needed for high school success. Intervention support continues to be available for students who need additional academic assistance.

High School Programs

Spotswood High School (9-12)

Spotswood High School offers a comprehensive program that prepares students for post-secondary education and career pathways. Students complete graduation requirements in core academic subjects and have access to a wide range of elective courses that allow them to explore interests and develop specialized skills.

Graduation Requirements

To earn a Spotswood High School diploma, students must meet New Jersey state graduation requirements. These include earning a minimum of 120 credits across core academic subjects (English language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies), visual and performing arts, world languages, health and physical education, financial literacy, and 21st century life and careers, as well as meeting state assessment requirements.

Course Offerings

The high school course catalog includes college preparatory courses in all core academic areas, honors level courses, numerous AP and dual enrollment courses, career and technical education options, and diverse electives in arts, technology, business, and other areas of interest. Students work with their school counselor to select courses that align with their post-secondary goals and interests.
